Things to do and Places to See
Okay so it's now been two years living in LA, feels like a whole different lifetime. I have been making some real and solid friendships, and racking up a list of places we've gone that I actually really like.
1. Cafe Telegramma - This place is so cute. It feels like sitting in a cafe in a little European town. They have plenty of tables and good people watching. It's on Melrose and Western which feels like the middle of nowhere but there are a few galleries in the area, resulting in decent street style. This place got me HOOKED on pistachio matcha latte. Wow, hearing myself fully transitioned to LA person...
2. Dr. Pilates - I miss pilates classes in New York so badly, they were much less fitness focused, more about body/ mind connection and proper form. Dr. Pilates is the most chill pilates place I've found so far, like the closest thing to just a regular pilates class that doesn't have club music, 100 degree temperature room, or gongs banging. Huge plus this is on the cutest street in LA in my opinion, Larchmont.
3. Moon Juice - Ya I've gotten totally hooked on Moon Juice. I'm currently sucked into the hair pills, the collagen creamer AND cosmic cocoa. Like I've fully lost it. But it makes me look so pretty and I'm 99% sure it's lowering my stress. Plus, potions and powders aside, they have a cafe where you can get a blue matcha with pearl in it. I asked the Ralph Lauren model looking cafe girl- "what's pearl?" She tells me it's crushed pearl...like from the ocean! Dead.
4. Prince - Okay what the hidden gem. I'm not the biggest eater but I had the most dank chicken wings I've ever had at this place. Plus the decor is stuck in time from 1970 and I'm obsessed with that vibe. Again this spot has plenty of tables and when I stopped here from dinner at 1 AM one Friday night, they were all full. Makes my heart sing.
5. Los Feliz 3- I came here for a 10 PM movie with my friend Jay and it had the best vibe. We were pretty early so we took a walk down the street. The infamous/ famous cafe Figuero is a few doors down, bustling and delightful. There are also two books shops on the block that were still open at 10. We saw The Love Witch and it felt so cozy, like everyone there were friends.
Kinda falling in love with LA tbh. <3 <3 <3
6. Wait one more bonus spot because I go here about 3x a week Griffith Park- This spot is amazing. I arrive around 7AM for a hike before work. My face and soul feel so pure after an hour of walking under trees, surrounded by mountains, birds and a great mix of people also enjoying Earth.
Love you so much.
